Maple Lodge Farms Reinvents the Factory Outlet Experience
The Chicken Shop opens a modern retail destination rooted in heritage and hospitality.

After more than a year operating from a temporary home in Mississauga, Maple Lodge Farms has officially reopened The Chicken Shop in Brampton—and it’s more than just a relocation. The new flagship destination is a complete reinvention of the brand’s retail experience, combining eat-in dining, a next-generation food market, and a country-inspired architectural expression that anchors the building in its agricultural roots.
Designed as a hybrid of farm-store nostalgia and modern retail convenience, the new facility transforms what used to be a simple outlet into a true food-lover’s destination. The building blends clean contemporary lines, industrial steel, warm wood cladding, and generous glazing that floods the interior with natural light. Its recognizable barn-influenced profile and bold signage make it an immediate landmark along Winston Churchill Boulevard.

A New Retail Experience for a Canadian Favourite
Stepping inside, the space opens into a dramatic vaulted hall with exposed trusses and warm timber finishes. The layout is simple, intuitive, and anchored around the Chicken Shop’s signature offerings:
Fresh and frozen poultry
Prepared foods and take-home meals
A full retail market and product outlet
A dine-in restaurant and take-out counter
Bulk sales and factory-direct shopping
The atmosphere feels both rustic and new—brick, wood, industrial steelwork, and contemporary lighting come together to frame a retail environment that feels authentic rather than overly themed.
It’s an architecture that supports what the brand has always been about: accessible, wholesome, Canadian-made chicken.

Community-Centered Design
The story of the new Chicken Shop is also tied deeply to place. For decades, the Maple Lodge Farms facility has been part of Brampton’s cultural and economic landscape. The temporary relocation to Mississauga in 2023 was always meant as an interim solution. With the new build complete, the store comes back home to Winston Churchill Boulevard, this time with expanded offerings and a more welcoming public presence.
Outside, the site includes:
Ample parking and traffic-friendly circulation
Outdoor seating and landscaped pathways
A dedicated green space for guests
A clear gateway presence along the roadway
It’s retail that feels close to its agricultural origins, not separated from them.

Inside the New Chicken Shop
The interior design elevates the familiar retail factory-outlet experience with scale and warmth. Some standout features include:
A large open floorplan with central market freezers
Historic brand graphics and full-height murals
Carefully crafted product displays
Branded signage for each retail zone
Restaurant counters that resemble modern hospitality design
One of the most iconic focal points: the restored bright-red Farmall tractor positioned at the center of the market—an unmistakable reminder of the brand’s agricultural heritage.

A Space Designed to Serve the Community
Whether guests walk in for a bulk freezer stock-up, a take-home dinner, a family meal, or just to browse local products, the space is intentionally designed to bring customers closer to the brand and the food it produces. It’s not the industrial back-of-house experience that often defines the food production world—it’s a public-facing destination that tells a story.
With this build, Maple Lodge Farms has done more than reopen a store—it has created a new community anchor, a hospitality-driven retail experience, and a long-term investment in its home city.
Welcome back to Brampton.
